Hello!
I can’t help but brag! Bought another cheap airfare!
I really love to travel! And by plane, and by car, but even on dogs!
Of course, my dreams and fantasies run far ahead of the possibilities. But, nevertheless, twice a year we allow ourselves «distant», as we call it, travel. That is, flights. Just yesterday, we bought another tickets after seeing very nice (read — budget) offers.
This time we «caught» inexpensive tickets for a direct flight from Novosibirsk to St. Petersburg. How inexpensive? — At a price of 8250 rubles per person, round-trip. We bought tickets for the end of April: we decided to celebrate my husband’s birthday in St. Petersburg, one of our favorite cities. If we decided to fly in February, we would pay only 5,300 rubles per person, round trip.

Where do our journeys begin?
What is the most expensive part of a trip? That’s right, flight. Therefore, our trip usually begins with the fact that I see in the mailing list offers of tickets at good prices and wonder whether we would like to fly there or not.
I have a subscription to the S7, Aeroflot, Pobeda mailing lists. It is these airlines that mainly fly from the cities closest to us. (By the way, you also need to subscribe to Ural Airlines). We use S7 services more often. There are no special preferences, but they simply often delight with good prices. Although a little over a year ago, we flew from Novosibirsk for only 16,000 for two to Cyprus and back with Victory … And just yesterday, the eldest son and his wife bought tickets for the end of July on the route Barnaul — Moscow — Makhachkala — Sochi — Barnaul in Aeroflot. Paid 18,000 per person. Also a good price, considering the high season and the long distance.

My husband is no less groovy than me. Usually, every idea of mine, which at first glance seems frivolous, he supports (and, as a rule, pays :))
The main thing is to find cheap tickets. I prefer to buy tickets on the website of airlines, and not in agencies. I think it’s more reliable that way. For example, in the fall of 2020, we were supposed to fly to Germany (tickets were bought back in pre-Covid times), but for known reasons, the trip was canceled. So S7 compensated the cost of tickets, plus 10%. And there was an experience of buying tickets through the Senturia agency, I must say, a sad experience. The airline canceled the flight, and the agency did not warn us, we found out about it by chance, two days before departure. Money returned six months. And some amount was even withheld.
When the tickets are “in your pocket”, everything else is planned: time off from work or a vacation at your own expense (if the trip is past vacation), housing, a cultural program … We usually book housing through Booking. But with this site, too, you need to keep your eyes peeled. We choose for ourselves, as a rule, a family room in a hostel (somewhere in the «quiet center») or a room in a guest house. This time, the entire trip will cost us about 18,000 per person for 5 days, including a flight across half the country, accommodation, meals.
We have already been to St. Petersburg several times, both in summer, and in winter, and in autumn. But in the spring — it was not necessary. We are happy to fill this gap. We will fly without luggage, with light backpacks. The main souvenir from such trips is impressions, and they are weightless, although priceless.
This time we are flying alone, without grandchildren. I am a big supporter of teaching children to travel, showing them the country and the world. But when you fly with children, the whole trip is built taking into account, first of all, their interests. And this time we decided to arrange a holiday for ourselves.
Having returned from St. Petersburg, in a month we will go through Moscow to the Black Sea, and then we will rush to the Crimea with our youngest grandson in a rented car: the guy is going to first grade, we need to educate the young man …
Traveling is actually not that expensive, the most important thing is to “catch” cheap tickets. If you need help in this matter — write, I will try to help. Free of charge 🙂 By the way, in the coming days, S7 should open a discount sale for young people under 24 years old and for older people (women — from 55 years old, men — from 60). Aeroflot started a similar sale a couple of weeks ago, but their disadvantage is that they do not sell discounted tickets online, through the website, only in offices. And s7 — sell. I bought last year for my student son and his friends.
Some people think it’s an advertisement. Let him think, his right. In fact, I’m just sharing the experience gained over seven years of travel, with a very modest income.

And what about covid?
The disease is very serious, and many of my friends, unfortunately, are no longer with us. But our life goes on… Two deaths still won’t happen. Now many have already been ill, now we will gradually get used to it, you see, life will gradually return to normal by the summer …
Thank you for reading to the end!
Health to everyone! And interesting trips!
